Hi, i have recntly converted from keeping freshwater puffers to marine,and was wondering if these two species would be ok in a tank together as i already have the porcupine and want to buy the black saddle but at the same time dont wanna waste my money!!so any help would be most appreciated cheers

hi i have just been looking on fish base for info on my fish they say that it is a freshwater fish tho in other places i have been told it is brackish and even low end brackish would any body be able to help with this and would any body recommend me removing the salt completely to have a freshwater ...

they are oval and kidney shaped only very small they dont raise up much but are noticeable sorry cant get a pic cant find camera

Hi i have just finished a course of protozin for white spot on my fish a few days ago and now he seems like he has a couple of lumps under his skin on his back can anybody help with a reason for this please?

cool and just to go back to the giant spotted would you recommend him in a species only tank or could i put other fish in with him?

my intention if i do get it would be to leave it on its own altho its fresh water as opposed to brackish i take it it would have the same food types as my green spotted

no it was just general really cos there is 1 just turned up in my LFS and i was looking at gettin it but it is a bit costy to buy not really knowing about them

yea he seems happy enough now had a bitof trouble the 1st week tho cos he got white spot but it seems to have cleared up now and quite active!i heard these aren't very active tho once they have settled in hows yours?

he was in brackish water of around 14 ppt in the shop
