Hey Pufferpunk! YES! Good as new! In addition to burping him ... I put him in a large container that sat on the bottom of the tank ... seems the pressure relieved the bubble 100% Yay!

I know this is an old post ... interestingly, I have a Mappa with an air bubble now - tried burping him, no go. He's in a very large container - hoping he can giggle it out over night. :( He's about 10" - I've had him for about 6 years now, such a good good fish ... I want to be sure I'm doing ...

Well, he wasn't the most playful fish in the tank - so he was just "Red Head".

Thanks for the replies. No, that wasn't Hole in the Head, that was marks due to his thrashing around the tank (in pain, I think). Sadly, he died the day after I posted this. He was a really handsome fish.
