Re: 4 Puffers Dead
I found out the real issue, as far as this puffer goes, the person was from Aquabid and sent me an email explaining how there are no freshwater puffers- only brackish and saltwater. So this Fahaka was living in a brackish tank, in brackish water. I put him in my freshwater tank and you know the rest.

Re: 4 Puffers Dead
The pleco sucking the slime is going to kill it over night? If that were to happen?
The tank has been cycled about 5 or 6 months. And its 75 gal now. I was workign on getting a bigger one before my fahaka died.

4 Puffers Dead
I could go on and on, but I could really use some help. I have 4 puffers that died. 2 Fahaka's and 2 Figure 8's. Now, I have done all the reading, been on this forum for quite some time just minding my own business and soaking up the knowledge you all have. I've come to a stand still. Just so you kn...

Trouble Locating SAPs
So my tank is fully cycled and everything is ready to go inside my tank. However, my LFS cannot seem to track down any south american puffers. I have thought about other species but I'm pretty much set on getting SAPs. Are there any websites you all know of that actually have SAPs in stock or can ge...

It's recommended to have 1 per 15 gallons of water. I have seen some say they recommend 20 gals per south american puffer. To put 3? or 4? in a 20 gal tank? Maybe someone who knows the puffer really well can reflect on this. I just hate to think of a tank crowded with puffers (2 or more) and how pit...

whats goin on man! My tank finally started showing some results as far as showing nitrites and nitrates, won't be long! I am thinking at least 5. I'm still debating on whether or not to get 6. I think it'll come down to how I feel when I place an order, I'm over-filtering quite sufficiently. ...

Tank Space & SAPs
I usually just read the articles here as I'm still new to the aquatic world. I sold my 46gal tank to get a bigger one, 75gal. I read on here about the fish-less cycle and am currently undergoing that process. I intend on getting South American Puffers but am stuck on how many to get. I'd rather hold...
