Be very careful with the methylene chloride. Its very toxic and is also a carcinogen (which means if it doesn't get you the first time around from organ damage, it may cause cancer months or years later).

If you have a place to stick some filter floss in your filter, it will help clear up the cloudiness. You might have to change out the filter floss a few times.

I've found that I can crush the shells pretty easily of MTS with a pair of pliers. The hard part is to just apply enough pressure to crack the shells and not crush them completely.
