I'm currently using a combination of snails (Gyraulus acronicus ) and algae tablets. I'm not seeing any problems so far. Is it true that I would have to play dentist sooner or later? Algae tablets are quite hard...they are hard to the core as opposed to snails who only have a hard outer shell so I'm...

How many SAPs can I have in my tank?
I've just given away some of my fish and right now I'm kind of wondering if it's ok to have 4 SAPs in my 90 L tank. I already have 2 but will it be ok if I buy two more? The more, the merrier

I'd say that this SAP is just a bit shy. Just give it some time and perhaps he'll get more confident. When I first bought my SAPs (I have two), they didn't pay attention to me at all! They were more focused on chasing their reflections on the glass. But as time passed by.... they stopped pacing up a...

SAP at the bottom....sleeping? or dying?
I just came home from a party. I went to my aquarium to check inon the puffers. After turning on the light, immediately caught sight of them resting at the bottom. It seemed like they were oblivious. After a minute or two, I saw them swim more actively but kept hitting the glass (not hard though). I...

SAP puffermates?
Hmm.. the water in the aquarium has gotten stable(0 nitrite) and the circulations working well. I'm lucky to have gotten true this with my saps still alive and well. Are there any puffers that are suitable as tankmates for my fishies? I've read through the profiles of different puffers on pufferpedi...

How long SAP can go on without snails..
I've ordered a large bunch of snails. Problem is..they're not arriving before tuesday.:( It's been about four days ago since my SAPs had their last snail meal. Now I'm wondering how long it will take before I need to trim their teeth. Exactly how fast does their teeth grow? How long does it take for...

Problem is I don't know what kind I should get? my aquarium holds 95L of water. I would like to own a pufferfish that would thrive in an aquarium that size. Any suggestions?
