I have heard a crushed coral substrate is helpful for maintaining ph. I have 6 figure 8 puffers. I have not added any salt as of yet - all I am going by is seeing they are white bellied and bright coloured. would a coral substrate help with a fresh water setup, or is it just when salt has been added...

is this puffing or eating too much?

this is one puffer it only happens at feeding time, but i can believe it puffs when encountering other puffers (even thought it is the biggest) or it is just stuffing its face?
