I have a 55 gal that houses 4 dp's(2 male, 2 female), 2 sap's, 6 otto's and (shockingly) 1 happy ghost shrimp. Its a 55g tank and they seems to be ok. Have a 100+g tank and might move over the SAPs if they start to nip each other.

Hi all, Bought by mistake 5 dwarf´s due to wrong info from the dealer. Two days later did i find real SAP´s and placed them in the same tank. So what you are telling me is that to grow snails is the only alternative for puffer owners? Everybody is doing this? Guess i will do the same :)

If you cant grow snails - any substitute?

My South American puffers (Colomesus asellus) are soon arriving and i am hesitating about what to feed them with. Know they need special food to get their teeth in order. Know that snails is the best food but wonder if there is a second alternative? Is shrimp with shell as good?
