That there are several more species that doesn't have a profile on the pedia because of that.

Atleast it is good to know she isn't an abei. I'll take another pic of her when she wakes up. Another thing, she got a mark on her back. It looks like a arrowhead. Might that be a clue to the species? I've seen that mark often when googling M.leiurus. Why doesn't leiurus show up at pufferpedia? Or p...

How come M.leiurus isn't among the puffers in pufferpedia? We're can I find these neat descriptions Purplecandle quoted from earlier? "Short snout (< about 2.5 diameters of the eye) + clear target spot (can be red or another color, but must be obvious) = M. cochinchinensis" Well, at least ...

Hmm, perhaps it is a fangs. I didn't notice earlier that they got an eyespot.
Are yours very aggressive ? Mine is very mild tempered. I keep it with some endler, kuhli and corydoras. It doesn't even look twise at fry.

But T.turgidus doesn't seem to have the pattern of a flower on its sides. And T.turgidus have rounder spots I think.

Hello, I'm new here but not that new to puffers.
Today I bought a new puffer. It was sold as Monotrete abei but I think it looks more like a leiurus.
It is about 6cm. The profile pic is most accurate in coloring.
