takifugu w/ large spots

We have got a takifugu in the store right now and i was curious if you guys may have had experience with this type of disease. To me it looks like really large ich spots. they are very uniform dots, about the size of a tiny egg. Columnaris came to mind but im not sure if puffs are really susceptible...

i work at the lfs and i would like to think we know what we are doing. Best in arizona from what my most hardcore hobbyist/customers preach. thats beside the point though. I would have plenty of time to dedicate forming a pair at work. I can keep a close eye and see what kind of aggression is going ...

easy to pair irrubesco/lorteti??

I have seen that a couple people in this forum have a pair of these puffers. Im not concerned with sexing them but rather how to form a pair. What i would most likely do is order a good sized group into the lfs i work at and then seperate a male and female into a 15gal. Will this create a pair or do...

Your puffer could still be gettin used to the tank. With my miurus he didnt want to bury himself for the first couple weeks and now thats about all he does. I dont have experience with bigger ones like that though. From what ive heard they bury themselves more than the youngens.

POLL of Pronunciation

So ive heard several ways that Tetraodon is pronounced. I work in an awesome "LFS" so i hear the butcherings constantly. These pronunciations make me wonder though... 1. Tetra Don as most say it 2. Tetra Oh Don doesnt really roll off the tounge 3. Tet Ray Oh Don that one was pretty funny

sexing of t. miurus??

First off, can you sex a puffer to begin with? The only thing i have been able to get info on is how to sex the dwarf puffers. Ive found sexing info on other carinotetradon species as well. Does it have to do with their genital papilla and the size of their vent (if they even have a vent)? I have a...

PUFFERPUNK-----ive never heard anything of ro water not being sufficient to house fish. To me that makes no sense. at my store we use 100% RO (no blackwater extract or any additives) to hold our discus and wow are they healthy, eagerly chowing food at every feeding. From what ive read the T. suvatii...
