I just read the 50% water change every week in the red part above, I've never heard of doing that much of a water change that often.

I just noticed a correlation between his feeding schedule and puffing. I suspected it before but it was confirmed over the last few days. When his feedings are postponed he puffs!

We've tried digging a little whole in the sand bed and standing him up in it, we've tried putting him in a small cup in hops he would put his foot down but he did not. I'm sure there is not too much flow in the tank, we have no additional power heads or anything. I was concerned there was not enough...

Oh I don't have much advice other than I know that they need to be eventually acclimated to full marine once they are above a certain size. They're always sold as freshwater fish in my area. They area so adorable though, I own two of them years ago and loved them to peices ) good luck to you!
