Am I on the right track???
I recently bought two F8's (of about 1/2"). They are in a 30g previously inhabited by an african cichlid, so it is cycled. As far as their diet is concerned, their menu will include (if you give me the green light) frozen bloodworms, frozen mysis shrimp and frozen brine shrimp (I read somewhere...

Re: What should I do with this guy???
Thank you for the advice. I got a 10g tank for him and he is currently on melafix. A friend of mine is going to take him as soon as he is healthy.

Re: What should I do with this guy???
He is around 1.5" and in pretty bad shape... the F8's I saw at the LFS were very small, about 0.5"

What should I do with this guy???
I had two 30g tanks, both with african cichlids. Yesterday, I decided to put all cichlids (three in total) together to free the second 30g tank for two figure 8 puffers. One of the cichlids is way smaller and weaker than the other two and he was going to certainly die if I had left him in there, so ...

I'm going to get the ammonia and the test kits today (tuesday). I just called the LFS (where they supposedly had F8's) to check in what type of water were they, and the guy (i had previously spoken to a lady) told me that what he had were GSP's. I will pay a visit to that LFS tomorrow to see what th...

The sand bed's depth varies greatly, since the chiclids apparently enjoy digging while in their caves. The depth can go between 1 and 2 inches in most of the tank. There are places where the get to the bottom of the tank, and others where they just create a 4 inches little mountain. I disrupt the sa...

Thought about a GSP.....F8's will be the choice
I had been looking for puffer for a couple of week already. Yesterday I found GSP's at a LFS and decided to set the tank (30g) for a single GSP. I called another LFS this morning looking for Bio-Spira, among other things, and the lady told me she had just received F8's. The SG is at 1.006. How many ...
