Re: GSPs CONSTANTLY swimming back and forth at glass
My large puffer is still pacing. Should I just ignore it? maybe it's just a habit for him? Water is perfect, have the salinity up to 1.010 now... he eats fine, doesn't pace while eating or afterwards... small puffer is fine.... such a mystery....

Re: Advice needed for dwarf puffer
I'm a puffer noob, but is it possible that his teeth are too long? Maybe try trimming them? That's kind of how my GSP was acting before I trimmed his teeth.

Re: GSPs CONSTANTLY swimming back and forth at glass
 whoah, pufferpunk, that's so beautiful!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! are those real corals??? UPDATE: My large puffer still paces some, but when I come up to the tank he swims around normally, and greets me at the glass. So maybe it's just an annoying habit that will eventually go away. My smaller puffer...

Re: GSPs CONSTANTLY swimming back and forth at glass
Well I certainly hope he quits this. What you said makes sense about the stress from everying being moved around. The other one is just hiding under a rock. I put an earthworm in there for them but they just swam away like it scared them. I fished it out and I'm gonna try to give it to them again la...

Re: GSPs CONSTANTLY swimming back and forth at glass
Ok, got me some flat rocks, washed em, and put em in there. I dunno I'm not really that great at aquascaping with rocks I guess. It looks like someone said "ok see how much crap you can fit in this fish tank in 60 seconds... lol. And my big puffer is STILL swimming at the glass. *shoots self in...

Re: GSPs CONSTANTLY swimming back and forth at glass
Look in the sporting goods section for bait worms. I think you should go out & get yourself some flat pieces of rocks to make "shelves". Good thinking. Are there pictures of peoples gsp tank setups on here? I'm a visual learner if I can see some good setups I'm pretty positive I can r...

Re: GSPs CONSTANTLY swimming back and forth at glass
Yeah I can find a ton of worms out here and we don't use pesticides on anything the closest thing is neem oil I spray on my outdoor plants but I haven't used that this year yet... Actually when I was scraping up moss to make my moss bed in my other FW tank I found a bunch of worms but I put them bac...

Re: GSPs CONSTANTLY swimming back and forth at glass
Ok I rearranged the tank... but I found that I don't really have enough rocks/decorations to reach close to the top of the water line, so it's kinda left a big gap towards the top of the tank, which is now where the big one paces at the glass. Here's pics:

Re: GSPs CONSTANTLY swimming back and forth at glass
Ok, I will definitely try that. Also I wanted to ask, I saw my smallest puffer the other day scratching on the rocks... and then it did this weird thing where it shook and almost jumped out of the water, it shook like it was being electrocuted. Parasites? Lack of oxygen? what do you think? If it's F...

Re: GSPs CONSTANTLY swimming back and forth at glass
By the way I have an aquatech 30-60 gal filter in there (320 gph) and a tetra whisper 10-30 gallon filter. I tried to put more than adequate filtration in there because I heard puffers like a lot of water movement.

Re: GSPs CONSTANTLY swimming back and forth at glass
Yes here are the pics... I apologize for the algae that is impeding the view but it's green spot algae and it's nearly impossible to remove. UPDATE: small one is now swimming around with the big one and they both just ate a whole river shrimp between them. They are still swimming at the glass some, ...
