The mbus I have heard of have been active swimmers. The videos of older ones have also been active swimmers. So, while I have no personal experience with mbus I do believe that yours should be more active. So, like SYN mentioned, this has lead many of us to believe that it's a water quality issue. ...

i just have one simple question;

is your MBU puffers active? or is it just sit at one place most of time? thats all i want to know.

a mbu needs massive filtration. seems to be some confusion on your set up . if u could clarify. this is only a baby mbu we have a small amount of time there is one largest aquaclear hangover filter with one Fluval FX5, dont you think it is good enough for a 6" puffer which feed on 1-2 market p...

So the water circulates between the two tanks? Or does water just come from one tank and is dumped in the other? i move water from my 100 gallon tank into 65 gallon tank and i also move one hangover filter from 100 gallon to 65 gallon just to keep the bacteria growing. then i added another FX5 filt...

Yikes. You don't think his bio load is too high, but you don't even have test kits, and moving around has nothing to do with how much ammonia he excretes. However, poor water quality will make him lethargic. If you haven't been testing the water, how do yo know it's cycled? In 5 weeks the water can...
