I would just like to describe a situation I now believe I have successfully dealt with in case it benefits anybody else. I have 2 fig-8 puffers in a 160L tank, SG 1.005 - all parameters good. Thanks, I have considered Bumbles.
Looks like if I get new tankmates I'll chose them.
I just wanted a definitive answer about full marine. I'm now satisfied that it is not an option for them.

Fig-8 and full marine
I have 2 Fig 8 puffers in a 160L tank. They are currently in a SG of 1.005. I am moving house next week and am considering marine. I have a spare tank to play around with so I have margins. I have read many conflicting opinions on F8s on the net though, with some saying full marine would be Ok for F...
