Puffer looking worse.. Has long strands of slimy white spots hanging from him.. Tried doing a dose of ick guard and it cleared up for about 6 hours before coming back.. Still sit it out? Move him to a new hosiptial tank (hopefully he can fit in a 40 gal) with a new filter and heater?

I believe it was a combo of starter gold fish, new tank (stressed) and a heater going out in the process...

I got him from Craigslist about 2.5 years ago. He was about 4" when I got him. The previous owner said he was 1.5-2 years old... Life spand is 15+ yrs right?

It would be 28.88-29.44 c... Which is 84-85 f.. What temp did you keep yours (c is ok)

Thank you for the info.. Should the temperature range from 84-85 for ten days? 20% water change daily? Ok to use the "hot" water form the sink (didnt know if this would be ok due to extra metals in the water heater wall etc). Do I need to do a gravel vac if I have live sand? Sorry for so m...
