Hey, I was wondering what the best med to use to treat ich is, my Abei (2 years old now) has never had any ich issues and all of a sudden he has it, i've tried treating him with prazipro ( worked great for my saltwater and other freshwater) but it just keeps coming back( I siphon and do water changes regularly). any info would be great thanks

Prazipro has no effect on ich, it's a praziquantel based medication for treating external worm type parasites, such as gill flukes. Medication is unnecessary for treating ich. The best way is to add aquarium salt and increase the temperature to about 85, adding aeration if needed, as warmer water holds less oxygen. This will kill the parasite with the salt as it enters the freeswimming phase, which will be quick if the temperature is high. Keep up with the salt and heat for about a month and all ich will be eliminated.
