Bumble Bee Gobie fin problems

I have noticed that 2 of my BBGs fins are slightly shredded -- i have 5 total in with a juvenile fig 8 (about 1.5")

only one part of the fin damge looks like a puffer bite (perfect circle like he leaves in the Java fern) - the other stuff looks like the fins are just seprated -- could this be damage from normal territorial disputes between BBGs ???

it may be that i never noticed this fin damge, but wanted to know if anyone else has BBGs with this problem.

My guess is its a dispute with the puffer.

Its likely both. BBG's will battle over territory, and unless your tank is quite large, its not suggested to have multiples unless they are a pair. Try adding more caves/rockwork for territories so they can both get away from the F8 easier and also not annoy each other as much.

thanks guys --- the tank is pretty packed with decor, but i could provide more caves -- a lot of the hiding places dont let them hide fully i guess ---

the old tank i had them in had broken flower pots that made great caves and they loved them, i didnt love how they looked but i guess ill go back to it --

should i treat the tank with anything to help the fins repair ??? -- ive never used anything like melafix, etc.

Melafix and clean water will heal their fins right up.

If they don't stop the bickering, you'll have to consider moving some of them.
