GSP questions and comments

hi all

just some general question and comments:

1. i have read that some puffers when puffed up will push the poison up the spikes and if a spike punctures your skin, you be could be poisoned, is this true with GSP ? (i know they are deadly if eaten, was not sure on the puffed up part) i assume that the spikes are not poisonous when puffed up but assumption is the mother of all bugger ups in this world so it would be nice to have a clear view so that should he one day puff up, i know weather i should protect my hands or not before trying to burp him should it come to that.

2. if you have to burp a puffed up puffer (or one that is busy unpuffing, but can't quite unpuff) eg. http://www.thepufferforum.com/forum/vie ... f=3&t=9520
is it not hard to catch his tail and face him up (being puffed up with spikes and all) as they are quite energetic! or are they not so energetic once puffed up or busy unpuffing?

hopefully this post will clear these topics for others ?

No, the poison does not go into their spikes.

All of mine have puffed at one time or other, none have had their spikes exposed.

thanks for the feedback :-) out of curiosity, has anyone one's GSP puffed up before with spikes exposed?

They don't really have that option... the spikes are for creatures stupid enough to bite down once the whole puffing thing starts.
