I know everyone says to remove uneaten food but I have this Ninja Ghost shrimp that D-Bo can not catch. It is really funny to watch him cause he is so focused and this shrimp is so fast. My question is do I have to take this guy out I know I should probably gut load him as he has been in the tank for a couple of days but I am curuois to how long before he makes a mistake and D-Bo gets him. All so I am looking for other Live invertebrates to feed him he is about 4" long I found these live manila clams but they look a little big for him. Right now I am feeding him gut loaded ghost shrimp every other day and frieze dried brine shrimp soaked in vitamin water on the other days. He has a couple snails in his tank that he plays with sometimes but I do not thing he is big enough for them yet they are the ram shell variety. He seems super happy but I wanna find some harder foods to keep his teeth worn.

Removing uneaten food refers to dead, not live stuff. Let him hunt, it'll give him something to keep him busy. :D I give all of my bigger puffers (4+ inches) a treat periodically of live crayfish. The LFS has them relatively cheap but not so cheap that I can afford it very often. Just make sure anything live is quaratined at least 2 weeks, 4 weeks is better, before use.
