Hi i have a 240ltr tank 4ft by 2 ft by 3ft high,
i have a selection of fish that have lived happily for 18 months and my tank is matured water test show every thing is ok as it should be.
I have just got home from work and my dwarf puffer Muttley has .... im not sure how to describe it his eye is by his chin under his skin. it looks awful bless him he doesnt look in pain and is swimming with confidence it almost looks healed so it may have happened over the weekend whilst i was away. it looks as if if you pushed it the eye might pop back into place,(dont panic i wouldnt do it to him), what should i do for him any advise welcomed. Thanks. Diana

I have read eberts aqualog on puffers and it says that .......using the skin musculature possessed by puffers they can modify areas of the skin to prevent form infection and or injury. Also this can be used to "close the eyes, creating a circular eyelid"

Does this sound possibly what your puffer is displaying?
