I have just got 7 puffers.
My friend has treated them badly. So I take it away from him.
I should give some of them away to serious ppl. Who know have to treat a puffer.
So I need to know what species they are.
Is it Tetraodon abei?
Or Tetraodon cochinchinensis?
Or maybe the 7 puffers are different species...
Some Pictures...

We'd love to know more, what size tank are they in, how long did he have them, how big are they?

They're not Abei. I like their colouration though.

My 1st guess would be T turgidus.

T. cochinchinensis or T. turgidus, depends on which diagnostic traits you prefer and if they are really separate species.

To me they look like a combination of cochinchinensis and turgidus.
Hard to be definate from the pics though.

Similar to turgidus, but the nose doesn't look right.
Are they very small and young maybe?
Figure freshwater, get to about 6" or so.

oh.
Maybe cochinchinensis or turgidus then...
But the big diffrence between them is that one just gets 7cm and the other 15cm?

Awww they are sooo cute. I wouldn't mind taking one off your hands if your looking to find them homes? hehe......
Good job rescueing them though. Really awesome of you to do that and find out the information on them and be responsible.

I did get (take away) them for two weeks ago.
Now i have four left in a 167 liter (44g?) tank.
pH: 7.5 (I'm gonna get it lower)
Nitrite: 0
gH: 9
kH: 6
Temp: 25 C
They are about 5-6 cm (2 inches?).
I have also created a snail tank (45 liter).
They eat shrimp (both whit and whit out shell), ox-heart, red mosquito worms, and different snails. And some times alive fish.

The pH is fine. Don't bother lowering it. How are the nitrates?
