New GSP Tank Bacteria question

Hey Gang, I am picking up 2, 1.5" GSPs tomorrow night. I am putting them into my 65g african tank. I am removing the africans first of course.

My question is the puffs are currently in water at a sg of 0.010 and of course the tank they are going to is at 0.

Now I know I can move the tank to 0.002, acclimate the puffs and start the slow march up to higher sg.

But if I put media from my 0.005 F8 tank in the filter can I start out at 0.006 and not have any significant cycling issues?

Thanks

If the biload is the same, it should work switching the filter, but gsp's can move from 1.010 to 1.002 in about two hours with cups of water acclimation, so it's no biggie either way, and at their age 1.010 is actually a bit on the high side.

1.020 is actually fine, even for smaller ones, (I'd aim mayvbe for 1.008) but the advise above is good. Maybe aim for 1.004 for now.
