That would appear to be a Tetraodon lineatus, or fahaka puffer to me. Check the PufferPedia under freshwater puffers.

Absolutely gorgeous, too, I love the tail! Looks like my Linus' tail.

I've never seen a Fahaka at that stage of coloring.

The spots around the head and face say otherwise?

I think the coloration/patterns can vary. Mine has spots on the top, whereas I've seen many that only have lines.

Hopefully someone else can help with the ID, I'm by no means an expert.

I believe there are several morphs of the fahaka, depending on where they are caught.
