I woke up today to find my dear and beloved Flutter gone...He was fully puffed with air and floating upside down, dead.

I knew his time was almost up. A few weeks ago he started hanging out near the bottom more. About a week and a half ago he stopped eating. I'm pretty sure it was aging, from what i've read about fish aging effects.

I never knew how old he was when I got him, though i'm pretty sure he was not fed properly and kept in brackish water. I think he was just ready to go.

Rest in peace my friend.

i'd write more but i have an injury to both arms/hands making it painful to type. to make things worse i'm dreadfully sick with a virus right now.

I'm really sorry to hear that my man you sound like you are having a tough time at the moment. Be happy in the thought that you gave him great care and the best quality life.

Aww, I'm so sorry John! He was under the best of care, and sometimes there's just nothing you can do.
