is it okay to add aquasafe or ammolock or the dechlorine treatment drops into tap for brackish water tanks or do u need RO? or is that only for SW? thanks in advanced.

Just use prime or plain jane dechlorinator. No need for ammolock...if your biofilter is working fine, there should be a 0-0 ammonia/nitrite reading and a detectable nitrate reading...

basicly:

you ad the dechlor Marine mix at the time you prep the water change (about 12-24hrs before said change to mix the salt very well)

Tapwater is fine.

Never use ammo-lock, if you already have any, I really suggest you throw it out, so you do not feel tempted to use it. It does just as advertised, and if you use it either regularly or in response to an ammonia spike instead of something like prime(which detoxifies ammonia but leaves it useable to the biofilter, rather than lock it away totally innert), you will crash your biofilter sooner or later.
