Snails in brackish

How long will pond snails live in brackish (1.005) conditions. I would like to put snails in at night and let my puffers wake to search them out however I don't want the snails to die before that.

If you acclimate them slowly before adding them they will probably last a while...

Mine died within a week, even with a very slow acclimation. The only snails I've had that survive low brackish are olive nerites, which the puffers couldn't eat.

A week isn't bad... enough time for them to all be hunted down, I say go for it, just only enough snails at a time that they will be eaten in a day or two.
