Hello All....
Getting ready to take a stab at Puffin' after a few years with Africans and the Amazon.
Picking up a Green Spotted Puffer (Tetraodon Nigroviridis ) juvi and I'm wondering how others keep them. I've been doing some reading and the opinions are varying. I've read from 7 to 8.4 on the pH and salt levels from 1TBLsp /5Gal (same as my Africans) to 1TBLsp/1gal to just under marine levels at 1.012 on the ol' hydrometer.
Anybody here care to share.....
Thanks
John

Welcome! You should start by reading PufferPunk's GSP care sheet in our library, that should answer most of your questions.

I have been reading, (some good articles in the library and posts) just wondering what others actually do.

I may have increased my SG a bit fast, but other than that pretty much by the article.

....and I agree, sounds like the right way to go. I just like hearing what others do, especialy in other parts of the globe.
One more question if I may. What are the differences between aquarium salt used for brackish fish and marine salt.
Sodium chloride is sodium chloride... no? Or is it the other trace elements found in the marine mix that are important to these not so little guys..
