Can Epsom Salt baths be used on marine fish that are constipated? If not, could someone give me a brief explanation as to why?
I've looked on the net and can't find any instances of use in marine fish.
Thanks.

What makes you think its constipated? if it is, try feeding it a shelled, cooked pea

I believe it does also work on SW fish. You might want to PM PufferQueen, if she doesn't answer here.

I haven't used epsom salts for constipation. I have used cod liver oil as well as peas. Unfortunately most fish that are constipated are not eating. The source of the constipation is often a blockage - too large a piece of food or rotting food, worms, foreign body (plastic, metal, etc).
