hi. where do i start. ive got 6 tanks running. one is dedicated to red eye puffers. one is dedicated to my cichlids, 2 is dedicated to my shrimp/snails, one is a community tank with swordtails and 2 dwarf puffers, and one is shrimp snails and dwarf corys.

hopefully ill learn lots from everyone here.

ive got 2 dwarf puffers and 4 red eyes but i do not know what species they are except for one which i am sure its a irrubesco.

Males have fully red tails. When comfortable, they will be gray on top and cream below. When stressed out they fade to a color pattern very similar to the females, but they always have red tails. Females may show a little touch of red in their tails, but they won't be anything like the scarlet flags the males have.

Cute puffs by the way! It's good to see more irrubesco folks on the board. :)

haha thank you thank you.

well then i believe i have 2 males and 2 females. thats what i thought i chose from the start. =)

2 of them have ich right now but i predict a full recovery. they are still eating and munching on snails. 2 table spoon of salt in a 5 gallon tank. temp is at 28celcius.

are irrubesco puffers pretty rare? i never see them in around where i live, and i live in a pretty big city with many fish stores.

thanks for the help guys!
