Well, last night I went to be bed as usual, checking on my puffers right before I went to sleep. Everyone was fine if not a little sleepy from me disturbing their beauty sleep. I woke up this morning to find one of my figure eights stuck to the filter.

I don't know what happened, he was buzzing around fine yesterday, not showing any signs of stress or anything. All of my params are constant, nothing has changed. any ideas? He was a very healthy chubby little thing, one I considered to be the healthiest, and he had grown from a little over an inch to 3+ inches since I got him in February. He has never been sick or anything. Sad. RIP Khumari

I think we have to diagnose her with SPDS, Sudden Puffer Death Syndrome.
Its horrible to hear that, I know you take grea care of your fish.

No chance that some contamination occured?
What was the little one last fed?
Just trying to narrow the field so we can all help each other try to prevent these kinds of losses ... I recently lost one of my F8s ...

Last fed frozen bloodworms, brine shrimp and a snail from my snail farm. I guess he was just ready to go!

He wasn't getting picked on, was he?
Could it have been the snail? Was it off or something?
Sorry for your loss...maybe it was something unpreventable like a stroke.
