bulge over eye/cloudy eye

Recently purchased 2 beautiful fig 8's about 2 inches long. I noticed after the first day that the one guys tummy was a tiny bit concave. Boxermom advised me to treat for IP's ... just in case. I'm soaking their food in a combination of Metronidazole and Praziquantel along with some garlic guard) They are both eating quite well.

I noticed yesterday that one of them had a cloudy type thing over half his one eye. Today I notice that it is now covering his whole eye, a little bulge.

I've been doing some research and see that it is suggested to treat with Melafix, is this correct? or is there a better medication to treat this problem?

My other question . . . can this type of thing be treated while already treating for IP's?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Water parameters are:

Ammonia = 0
Nitrates = 20
Nitrites = 0
SG = 1.002 (am slowly raising it to 1.005) no more than .002 a week

If there is swelling...I would also recommend adding some epsom salt to the tank..(1 tbls/5gal) (leave it in there for 3-7 days)
It will help draw out the fluid and reduce the swelling while the melafix will help prevent any secondary infections.

And keep your water as pristine as possible...do another W/C before you start treatment...cant hurt...and will definately help...
