What type of snails do you feed dwarf puffers?

Small ones!

Either baby snails or crushed snails work well. They may also manage to take on larger ones by sucking the meat out, but to wear down the teeth baby snails work the best.

Any snail that is tiny and is not an Malaysian Trumpet snail (they look like pointy ice cream cones).

Thanks. I chose it after experiencing a thread on another forum (which has led to me getting banned for 30 days ) where I spoke out, rather politely I thought, against someone recommending to a new person that they buy feeder guppies from the store, cycle the tank with them, then return them to the store. 'They're just going to be oscar food anyway so who cares if they are used for cycling' was his opinion. I said that even those of us who occasionally use feeders try to do our best to treat them as humanely as possible beforehand. He kept saying basically that cycling with "dry ammonia and testing numerous times a day" was a pain and too time consuming for anyone, and that cycling with store-bought shrimp doesn't work. I said it does if the person doing it has half a brain and has been instructed on how to do it.

Why can't you feed Maliasian Trumpets? How often do you feed them snails?

MTS are too hard and can chip the puffers teeth. I feed my F8 and Abei twice a week with pond snails.
