I got myself a blue spotted toby!

Well the other day I got a blue spotted toby for my 29g. He is the only one in the tank other than a giant hermit crab. I do plan to get a clown goby to go in there with him.

Thanks all!
He is a character! He loves freeze dried krill and FW snails that I breed. The krill floats on the top of the water and he will like pop the water to eat it. Pretty funny!

Beautiful animal! Just wondering: are all these types of marine puffers wild caught? Or do companies also breed them? I'm guessing they're not that easy to breed...

It's a safe bet they will be wild caught like most of the fresh and brackish water species.

There are some larger species comercially bred in China for food, but no tobies, yet.

Some people should focus on breeding these wonderful animals for commercial purposes, before they become threatened in their natural environment...
