New Figure 8

I finally got a F8. He's about 1 - 1.5cm, looks nice and healthy, nice round white belly and very interactive. Will get pics up when I can get him in focus.
This is the last puffer I will be getting for a long time.

what size of tank is he in and how did you cycle it?

He's in an 18g, I didnt need to cycle, I used substrate and filter from an already established brackish tank. I slowly acclimated him over a couple of hours from freshwater to brackish and away he went.

These are the best pics I can get of him at the moment, he's so tiny and fast an in focus shot is nigh on impossible.

I've contemplated making a plexi-glass photographers cage to try and get a better shot of my fish, because in tank shots can be extremely hard.

Many camera manufacturers make water proof cases for their cameras, try the websites for produt info

Where did you find him? Mine isn't as interactive as he was when we first got him, but on the plus side, he does eat flakes so he's excused.
Seems all the figure 8s this time of year are that small, I think maybe they have a specific breeding season...

Blue Lagoon. They had F8's GSP's and a Sabahensis in.
If he doesnt stay interactive, no great loss, the Salivator constantly ignores me.

I'm not saying yours wouldn't stay interactive, just that mine prefers to bumble around the tank, schooling with the archer and chromide.
I might consider a trip to wharf saturday morning, you about?

I wonder if the lack of tankmates will make any difference to this, only time will tell.
Can't do Wharf Saturday mate, i've got some work on.
