My Sabahensis seems to have a cyst burst on the left side of his head. I had always been aware of a slight lump there and today it seems to have burst or hes caught it on the ocean rock in the tank. The area is now very pink.





I've added some Melafix to the tank, im hoping this is going to heal up now and that there is nothing more sinister. It never ends with this guy.

That looks like a pimple. I didn't know puffers got zits. Maybe try washing his face twice a day with clean soapy water and tell him not to touch it because the oils will just make it worse.

Gomez, I'm sure you were joking but you might want to indicate that you were for any new puffer keepers who might someday read this and think you were serious and give it a try.

The pink core seems tohave dallen out and now it is just a white wound. I'll keep adding Melafix. His belly goes from black to white on a whim. Plus I havent fed him for a couple of days so I think he's a little annoyed at me. I havent changed the SG yet. I'm thinking of going up to 1.008 over the next few weeks and see if there is any difference.

Hilly, Clooney had this problem once and it cleared up quite quickly with no ill effects. I was worried but it cleared with no intervention othere than a big water change and a watchfull eye. I still do not know what caused it though
