in a tank with a green spotted puffer are there any specific plants that would be beneficial for him? also should i be using regular aquarium salt or marine salt in his tank? (this is not a marine tank) (in case anyone was wondering my tank set up, with a trip to the shopping store on everyones advice here at the puffer forum we've gone through some tank changes. F8s and gsp now seperated. only have one of each now. F8 in a 15 gal by himself with sand substrate and GSP in a 20 gal by himself with sand substrate, both with sponge filters, looking for plant life now. all other fish sold to LFS to fund this renovation! lol)

You should be using marine salt to maintain a brackish environment. Aquarium salt doesnt contain the same trace elements as marine salt and therefore will not make a brackish environment in your tank like marine salt will.
