How much should I charge for a dentistry visit, about 1/2 hour away?
Would you believe they insist the puffer is still eating?

Oh the poor skinny little buggar! He's probably able to suck in some food, but I can't imagine a whole lot!
Figure charge for gas, if nothing else.

Think that's a fahaka? Word is (the owner's a friend of a friend), it's been in a 55g for years. She says it looks like Filbert.

Oh dear poor little fella. I thoguht Mbu at first but the markings aren't there so I wouls say fahaka too

They insist the puffer isn't skinny. Here it is after eating:
I'm afraid to tell you guys but this 4 year-old fahaka lives in a 30g tank.
Before you all go nuts, I'm working on getting him in a bigger tank.

Poor thing! Looks like it never grew more than like 4 inches or so!!! Cant believe its 4 years old...

He says it's quite small. It's those huge eyes that bug me. It's like the rest of the fish is stunted but the eyes kept growing.

Its the sunken cheeks, makes the eyes look popped out. Starved horses look the same.
That's just sad. If they are willing to get rid of him, I could rearrange so my 75's open, it wouldn't be good enough, but this poor guy may never grow now that this has been done to him.

Maybe show him a picture of what a healthy one should look like at 4 years of age?

I think this is perfect evidence of stunting and could be a lesson for those who don't believe that it's possible.

If it means getting it out of there, I will definately take one, but man its gonna take some re-arranging around here. Not a problem as that was gonna happen anyways hehe, but I can plan a little better. Let me know.
