125g tank, preferably with a width of 2ft to accomodate him if he reaches around 18".

if you put him in a tank to small he will be stunted. I would go with as big a tank as you can afford and have room for. And remember to double your filtration, these are messy fish.

A 125 is the minimum I would recommend, larger if you can. Haven't you already had fahakas? If so, what happened to them?

I kept Fahakas in 120s and 180s and they were fine - both size tanks have 2x2' cross-sections, the smaller 4' long, the larger 6' long.

So a 48x24x25 .. 120 gallon would work for a Fahaka? That makes sense.. As long as he has the 2 foot turnaround.

Definitely recommend Brian's store, too ... Pacific Reef in Fountain Valley. Bought my 2nd fahaka there a couple of weeks ago. (He brought a couple in for me to choose from.) Nice stock, all healthy & excellent service. Getting my new custom tank from him too ...
