My green spotted puffer seems to be swimming alright but he has a lot of dark discoloration on his belly side, more than usual that is. I've seen his belly side all white and know sometimes it can be a little discolored. any article or info will help thank you!

Colour changes can be normal, but it can also be due to environmental stress. What is your tank setup? And what are your water parameters?

Also quick mention that he is spending most of his time laying at the bottom of the tank. is eating but not as active as usual.

I'd get yourself a liquid test kit for ammonia, nitrIte and nitrAte asap. How big are the fish?

I thought you said you had a GSP, some Figure 8s and some other fish in a 30g tank? My guess is most likely stress from improper environment. The thread you posted about feeding them will give you more information. Additionally, you should read these articles.
