Tried taking some pics of my puffers today, a couple pics came out ok. Man I really need a dslr! But instead I just bought a big fish tank, doh!

excellent video, out of interest do you get an allergic reaction to holding the bloodworm? I know someone who's skin gets itchy and inflamed from them I used to feed Clooney that way but I like having fingers so I drop it just in front of his node now. The pictures are excellent too, definate contender for POTM

No, I have never had any reaction with any frozen fish food, though I typically just pop it out into a small cup of water and dont do much holding.

Yeah I get a little nervous feeding em like that! But I have heard fig 8's dont bit that hard, mine are only about 2" long. And its something I have done only a few times.

Yeah, I liked that one too (notice my new avatar). Hmm, I may have to look into this puffer of the month thing. Just all the pictured are either slightly motion blured our slighty out of focus, or the fish is caught mid turn... I still havent got the perfect picture yet.

Nice video, they dont hang about when bloodworm is on offer do they.

I get bitten in the process of feeding my Figure 8's on an almost daily basis - it definitely doesn't hurt hardly at all. I doubt their mouths are big enough to pierce the skin (mine are ~ 2inches also).

my 2 inch ceylon nipped me the other day as i was holding a small snail, but it was more of a taster, like he mouthed me, and could hardly feel it

Your Figure Eights have gorgeous markings and they look very healthy. Your photography is very good; enter one of those pics in the contest!!!!

PS- I wouldn't be brave enough to put my fingers in a tank with F8s in a feeding frenzy! Eeek that was nerve wracking just to watch! I've been bitten by a 3" GSP, and it doesn't hurt too much, but it's not pleasant either.

I've had a swarm of 5 GSP's from 1" to 2" at the LFS all nibble blackworms off my finger, it's cute, but I think much bigger and it would get ouchy very quickly.

Actually I am getting worried I may have to trim his teeth after not too long.

I tried something a bit different with these photos I linked in my first post - I actually shot them in the complete darkness using only a flash. Its not perfected yet, but I think I might try photographing like this some more!
