Hello! I just registered here, and have been thinking about joining for a while. Love the place! Anyways, I have been hoping to purchase a Green Spotted Puffer soon, and was wondering if anybody had any advice on keeping these little buggers. I'm hoping to have a setup like the following: purchase one GSP, kept in freshwater conditions, and work it up to brackish water. Will have smooth gravel and soft plants, due to its lack of scales. It'll be in a 20 gallon until it hits about 4", and then we'll move it to a 30 gallon. Does that sound okay? Also, I need some help with understanding 'Specific Gravity.' How does that work?! Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to the site!
The best way to start would be to read the GSP article:

It should cover most of your questions.

Only advice I have is I'd recommend against tank hopping, it's much more expensive long run, the GSP will need the 30 in well under a year, anyway.

Well, the 20's already here, since I've been using it as a FW community tank and won't need it since I'm going to upgrade to a larger tank. That's the only reason I was going to change tank sizes instead of just starting out with a 30. Will check back soon!
