I have a new que tonight i checked on my puffy who seems to be doing a bit better today even though he stil has an inflated gill and mouth is always open but i have feed him krill soaked in the piperazine it equaled out to be 1 drop of med to each teaspoon of food and today when i looked in the tank there are big poos everywhere and these lil white worms the piperazine is supposed to paralize the worms and then expelled in the poo but these worms are still moving some the black ring around his mouth has really lightened up still has black blotches on his belly the pet store i got him from called me today to check on him and tell me they found 1 box of internal parasite guard so i am picking it up in the morn but will that kill the worms in the tank too and do you know what kind of worms they are they are very small and have like a black pointed head or hook on them almost look like flea larva if youve ever seen those.

I recommend Prazi-Pro in these situations. It's worked great for me in the past. I seem to remember that you live where there aren't many options but you could always order some of the net. If they're in the tank you can either do heavy frequent water changes or treat with Prazi and then do regular water changes.

Sucking like cray to get the beggers out this is what i was able to get and the ingrediants .jungle parasite guard====sodium chloride, metronidazole, acriflavin. the pet shop gave me the entire bottle cuase they said they dont want any cust walking away unsatisfied... it says to treat 1 teaspoon for each 5 gal everyother day and 25% water change between treaments... Please oh please tell me this is good to use and i can use it immediatly.. I have been using the piperazine and did not treat him today with it, was going to to do another 25% water change today and then again tommorrow and then treat with the parasite guard.. are these worms from the puffer?? he cant get enough to eat now constiantly begging for more he hadnt eaten in days and then boom super hungry. He had been eating frozen brine shrimp before he stopped all together but now that he is eating again he refuses the brine and all i can get him to eat is freeze dried shrimp he loves them he even takes them right from my fingers.. are these good for him if not, any ideas on what elsa he might eat ive tried tubix worms, flack food and tiny cichlid pellets and the brine shrimp wont touch them just gives me an attitude like you should have know better than try to get me to eat that.

metronidazole is very harsh, but very effective. I was just discussing this chemical with a Hikari lab tech today. Follow the directions very carefully.

I follwed the diretions but only put in 1 and a half teaspoons as i had been trying to treat him with piperazine i dont want to over med him i stopped the piperazine the day before yesterday
