Here is how to use led on your plants to keep them in the gravel and allow them to root out safely. Since not all plants benefit from being stuffed deep in the gravel I came up with this little tethering method that allows just the roots to be buried, the unsightly lead hidden and be easily removed without disturbing the plants roots.

Here's how I went about it. First make two litlle weight loops and attattch each one to a seperate peice of string/wool. Lassoo the strings around the main plants, cowboy noises optionaland situate the plant in the tank. Once happy with the position bury the weights oppsite sides of the plant with the wool becoming tight. When the plants have rooted well after a few weeks-ish cut the string from the plant and lift the weights out the gravel and store for the next mission.

WORD OF WARNING

If you have a Mbu puffer he may want to help, watch those fingers. If he tries to get involved give him a shove to the other end of the tank.

This method works well for me with plants like swords and this onion plant featured below.

Its weird but he always does this to bulb plant like lillies too and the onion plants always get a looking over every time I plant a new one. He either like the taste or they resemble a natural food source
