related to my previous post can you use this.. In the thread piperazine is on there and it says you can not get it in liquid form in the U.S. but I did from walmart it sasy for cats and kittens is this useable?

Treatment for internal worms must be administered to a fish that is eating. Live foods are best, as this allows "gut loading," which is the practice of feeding live foods additional vitamins or medicines just prior to feeding. If live foods are unavailable, the next best option is to use freeze-dried foods. The dry food will soak up and retain a majority of the medicine. Piperazine is a good first choice for treatment. Add 250mg per 100g of food each day for a period of 10 days. Praziquantel or levamisole can be used as a second choice, with the same dosage and time frame. Niclosamide can also be used at 500mg per 100g of food for 10 days (Bassleer, 1996).

Piperazine (PI-per-a-zeen) is a systemic Anthelmintic ( ant-hel-MIN-tiks), which are used to treat worm infestations. Piperazine specifically treats common roundworms (ascariasis) and pinworms (enterobiasis; oxyuriasis). It works by paralyzing the worms and then are passed in the stool. Piperazine may not be available without a prescription. Available as a tablet only in the US.
Noga's recommended route of administration is orally only. Dosed at 4.5 mg/lb of body weight/day for 3 days.

please help i only need to treat about one teaspoon of food how many drops of teh med would this require


Mix 25 mg of piperazine citrate with 10 gm of flake food, and feeding this to the fish for 5-10 days. A repeat course of treatment is recommended 10-14 days later (dosed at 50-100 mg/kg of body weight).

this is the same problem i am having with PraziPro, trying to find out how much i should use in my puffs food

Hi guys,

I started using this piperazine citrate wormer for cats/kittens on my three SAPs yesterday, just diluting a tiny amount and leaving some bloodworm into soak.

No unwanted side effects yet and the two affected look a bit brighter already.
