I bought a GSP last week and when I bought him he had big teeth. When I fed him snails he crushed them.
Yesterday he was scared of one of my dogs barking in front of the tank and he smashed into the window and I heard a cracking sound. Since that he can't eat snails anymore He picks them up but seems unable to crush them. I feed him lots of different foods and he still eats well when I feed him ghost shrimp and bloodworm.

Can his teeth regrow and will he have problems now. I do see his lower teeth but his upper-teeth seem gone now

that is a bit worrying but Puffers teeht do grow continously and the fact that he can still feed on othere things would suggest that not too much worry about. However I am no expert so wait and see what the others suggest to you first. I hope it all works out ok for you

I would feed him a lil softer foods than snails or crush the snails for him. Plankton, krill & people shrimp may be easier to "chew" & still keep the lower teeth trimmed. Sounds like his teeth were overgrown & the bottoms may still need trimming. A pic would help.

I hope so too. I just bought him as a sort of rescue. But he's really active and very happy in his tank. I do think his teeth were overgrown because when I first saw him in the bag from the shop he constantly showed his teeth. Now I can only see his lower teeth when he eats, just the top of them. The upper teeth are really gone I'm afraid. He can't even pick up snails so there is something wrong since he smashed into the glass.

I can only hope his teeth will regrow normal, but since he's doing so good I don't expect problems with that then.

He shows no teeth when swimming so a pic is of them is impossible I just see a small part of his lower teeth when he eats.

I recall someone saying their puffer broke his beak on an MTS and the teeth never grew back.

I hope that isn't the case, if so he will unlikely be able to wear his bottom beak and dentistry will be necessary...
