DP burying?

Sometimes I think my dwarf puffer buries himself. I'll look all throughout the tank very thoroughly, but I wont even catch a glimse of him. I was just wondering if anyone else's dwarves have every buried themselves.

Have you seen him actually bury himself? DP's are VERY good at hiding, and can sometimes make themselves totally invisible with just a few sprigs of plants, I would sometimes have to shake every single plant in my bare bottom DP quarentine to find a puffer to do a water change, even after looking for a LONG time.

Mine are the same way. They are great hiders and I sometimes can't find them all even at dinnertime =P

LOL mine could hide for days at a time! It was a heavily planted tank with plenty of snails and red cherry shrimp, and they preferred to hunt their own food instead of come out and get what I was offering.

Believe it or not, I'm having trouble finding my female dwarf gourami in a 10g tank!

I rarely see one of my DPs, and I can often spend 20 minutes searching for them or the otos in my other 10g tank.

Boy am I glad my dps are much more sociable than that! They are forever zooming to the front of the tank if they feel any vibration in the floor unless it is bedtime. Then they peek out from their hiding spot as if to tell me to turn the light off already.
