porcupine puffer is pale and stopped eating...

my porcupine puffer has turned pale and stopped eating. he has always had a great appetite. no visible signs of illness. does anyone have any idea what could be wrong?

How long have you had the porcupine?
What are your water parameters - post specifics.
What size tank and what tank mates?
What are you feeding the puffer?

nitrite-0
nitrate-20
pH-8.2
What size tank and what tank mates?
55 gallon. he is only 3 inches long. he is with a dwarf lion, very small cowfish and a blue tang. I will upgrading to a 125 very soon.
What are you feeding the puffer?
frozen krill, brine, mysis, silversides.
he started to eat again last night, but a very small amount of food. he usually has a great appetite. he is usually active but now just hides and is very still. could it be an internal parasite?
