I took a short video of my sick green spotted puffer. He has white spots all over him. Not little ones, but solid areas of white. Hopefully someone can tell me what it is and what I can do to treat it.

Photobucket degrades the quality of the video when it's converted to flash video. However the marks are prominent enough to see clearly.

I think that's from Ammonia Poisoning. I really can't tell though.

Can you get any video or stills that are clearer?
What are your tank parameters? Ammonia, NitrIte, NitrAte?
What size is the fish, tank?
How long have you had the fish?
How long has the fish had the white growths?
I don't we'll be of much help without all the info.

Wow, really poor video. I can't even tell what kind of puffer that is, never mind diagnosis a disease. A crisp, still shot would be best & answers to the questions above.

Can you not youtube the video, it should retain a better resolution.

Whatever it was, killed it. (i mentioned it in my other topic). I had bought it like that.

On the bright side, I went to an actual pet store and bought a healthy one. It is so bright and round. Tiny, though. So cute!

Is the new one going back in the same tank as the old one? Be careful with adding fish to that old tank set up until you know what the other had and that it is not still living in the water...

No, it is not. I have them set up in a 10 gallon until my 55g is running smoothly. However the fish that lived with the deceased fish could be carrying whatever it was. I never thought of that until just now.

Looks sort of fungus-y to me. I'd treat the remaining fish with Pimafix and Melafix just in case. Won't hurt, might help.
