My Irrubesco male is red on his back

He suddenly turned red on his back.
Red like his tale...And he seems to show himself for the girls (he got 3)
He`s fine and there`s nothing wrong with the water...

I have had my puffers for almost a year now, but I have never seen him get all red on his back before...
Is there someone who has seen this before and know why he does it?

Never heard of this. A pic would be cool!

He should be getting red on his tummy, if he's showing off for the gals, not his back. A pic would be helpful.

Sure sign of courtship.
My specimen used to do the same.
Tail, tummy and back.

My DP loverboy male, Lorenzo, turns really yellow all over when he's chasing the girls around.

Then again, I had a lorteti, so the red may be more pronounced on the irrebusco. Maybe this should be moved to our new Breeding Forum?
