For next years major college project, we get a 5' x 2' x 2' tank to play with, and Im thinking puffer breeding. Ideally I'd like to try something that hasnt been bred yet, and preferrably freshwater or brackish.

I'd just like to know what fresh and brackish puffers have actually been reported to have bred? (so I can avoid them!)

you will have a lot to choose from as not many species have been bred.

yep thats the challenge, as we dont know much about their breeding habits! Ideally I'd like to do baileyis or something unusual, but I doubt if the college will pay out for them..

I personally would like to try palembangensis. Should be possible .
